Summit Strategy Group Expands Washington, DC Presence with Addition of Nina Dater

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — September 25, 2025 — Summit Strategy Group is strengthening its Washington, D.C. presence with the addition of Nina Dater as Public Affairs Director. The firm’s expansion reflects its growing roster of clients in the nation’s capital and ongoing commitment to guiding organizations through today’s most complex policy, reputation, and communications challenges.

“Our clients face a changing landscape in Washington and beyond,” said Michael Law, founder and CEO of Summit Strategy Group. “Nina’s experience in public affairs and issues management, combined with her presence in D.C., enhances our ability to provide on-the-ground support for clients navigating policy and reputational challenges – complementing the work of our team in Sacramento and across California.”

Dater joins Summit from Zeno Group, where she advised clients across industries including sustainability, chemicals, and consumer packaged goods regulation. She developed risk assessments and scenario plans, advised executives on legislative and regulatory issues, and supported organizations in navigating high-stakes reputational challenges.

She previously worked at Red Flag Consulting, where she supported U.S. and international clients on public affairs and digital media campaigns tied to major policy and global events such as the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health, COP27, and COP28. Earlier in her career, she managed digital communications for a Washington-based public policy institute and supported federal sector marketing initiatives at Carahsoft.

“Summit is tackling some of the toughest issues at the intersection of business and policy,” said Nina Dater. “I look forward to helping clients anticipate challenges, engage effectively in Washington, and advance their goals with confidence.”
