Veteran Public Affairs and Construction Materials Industry Expert David Donaldson Joins Summit Strategy Groups as Senior Advisor
LOS ALTOS, Calif., (August 3, 2022)–– Summit Strategy Group, LLC, (Summit), a California-based national corporate reputation and ESG consulting firm, today announced that David Donaldson has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor, based in Birmingham, Alabama.
Donaldson joins the firm after a 40-year career with Birmingham-headquartered Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE:VMC), the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. He is a national expert on complex land use matters, environmental regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

While at Vulcan, Donaldson was responsible for the company’s community and government relations programs in the United States and Mexico, sustainability and ESG initiatives, and new site development in California, the Sunbelt, the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states. He also had senior management responsibility for corporate communications and crisis management and the company’s giving initiatives through the Vulcan Materials Company Foundation.
