Kelli Carr has more than 15 years of professional experience working in government affairs, public relations and on state and local campaigns. 

 

Originally from the Central Valley, Kelli began her career at the California State Capitol, working in both Assembly and Senate offices. In addition, Kelli previously worked as a Staff Assistant in Washington, D.C. for Congressman William Thomas, then returned to California to work in the Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Executive Office on Policy Development. Kelli’s experience also includes working as the California Government Affairs Representative for Farmers Insurance Group, Inc., and as a Special Investigator for the Fair Political Practices Commission, where she investigated violations of the Political Reform Act.

 

Kelli’s passion for politics and policy began in 2005 when she attended the Panetta Institute’s Congressional Internship Program in Monterey and Washington, D.C., where she studied under Leon E. Panetta, former Secretary of Defense.

 

Kelli lives in El Dorado Hills with her husband and three children.
