Faith Pulido comes to Summit as a Director with nearly a decade of advocacy, organizing, and strategic communications experience. She previously served as Director of Policy & Advocacy at The Gathering for Justice, the national movement building organization responsible for the largest community actions in modern history, including the Women’s March on Washington in 2017. Prior to her work at the Gathering, she held the role of Senior Policy Advocate and lobbyist for the Alliance of Child and Family Services where she utilized her lived experience to champion equitable access to education, services, and opportunity for system-impacted and unhoused youth. She has also previously worked in the California State Senate as a Consultant under Senate Pro Tem, Toni Atkins, as well as a Communications Director and Senior Policy Analyst for a top Senate Democrat. Prior to her work in the state capitol, Faith began her career as a teacher and anti-bias curriculum director before moving on to manage strategic comms and outreach for national, state-wide, and local political campaigns.

Faith is also a prominent local organizer within the Sacramento LGBTQ+ community. Within her capacity as a community leader, she sits on the Planning Committee and Youth Justice Committee of the Sacramento Kids First Coalition as well as the Visit Sacramento LGBTQ+ Advisory Board. In 2021, she was elected to be External Affairs Director for the Capitol LGBTQ Association and is the Board Chair of the Sacramento Stonewall Foundation and Visit Sacramento LGBTQ+ Advisory Board. She is also the founder of SHIP California (or, Stop Sexual Harassment in Politics), a nationally recognized coalition of survivors and allies committed to ending sexual harassment & discrimination in California politics and beyond. Faith holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in Women & Gender Studies, Political Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Child & Adolescent Development. She has also received a Master of Public Administration and Master of Public Policy from American University in Washington D.C, as well as an honor’s graduate degree in Data Analysis and Management.
