Gillian Barry-Smith

Starting off as an intern, Gillian has enjoyed her time at Summit and is passionate about continuing to learn all things Public Affairs! She primarily focuses on media research and digital content development.
What do you enjoy most about working at Summit?
I'm constantly learning and challenging myself.
What is your favorite moment working at Summit so far?
I started off working remote so visiting the Public Affairs team at Sacramento "Base Camp" was such a fun experience.
What advice/philosophy guides your work?
Stay curious and ask questions.
If you weren’t working in this industry, what would your dream job be?
A host on the Great British Bake Off.
What is the most used app in your phone?
Spotify. I love creating playlists for different moods or occasions.
Where is your favorite place you have traveled?
Last year I got to visit my college roommate who now lives in Belgium. I ate so many waffles and got to dabble in learning French.
Where is your hometown and what makes it unique?
Berkeley. I love the weather and all of the great vegan restaurants!
