We’d like to welcome the newest member to Summit Strategy Group, Maura Morales!

Maura Morales is a 3rd year student at UCLA studying Public Affairs and Education. She is from East Los Angeles and a first-generation student! Through her courses, she has researched important topics like environmental education, mass incarceration, and overpopulation through the lens of different socioeconomic levels. She has written policy briefs and analyses on these topics as well.
Maura has helped on community campaigns helping to organize students for projects including the Period Poverty Project. Through research and polling, social media marketing, and grassroots organizing, this project brought awareness for free period products eventually got the campus to provide these products! Maura is also the Co-Chair of one of the largest and oldest Latina organizations at UCLA. As their former Fundraising Chair she helped put on social events and fundraising logistics such as the annual Halloween auction event raising more than $2,000 in one night!
Maura loves Harry Potter (movies), is obsessed with Gordon Ramsay, nature walks, window shopping, and is easily influenced by Tik Tok in finding new places to eat in LA.
