Laurel Harrison

Senior Director, Public Affairs

Laurel Harrison is a Senior Director at Summit Strategy Group specializing in media relations, community engagement, message development, and digital strategy for a variety of businesses and industry groups in California. To managing and executing digital advocacy campaigns with trade associations to working with top-tier reporters on high-profile stories, Laurel works closely with clients to share their perspectives, stories, and messaging with the audiences that matter most. 

 

Laurel has worked with message development and stakeholder engagement, media relations, influencer identification and mobilization, visual content and storytelling development, and reputation management for clients including Vulcan Materials Company, Western States Petroleum Association, Medically Home, R.D. Offutt, Albertsons Companies, the California Prune Board, Kubota Tractor Corporation and Corteva Agriscience, among others.

 

Based in Sacramento, California, Laurel is a Yolo County native and former farm kid with deep ties to the California land use and agriculture industry. Today, her family owns and operates a 300-acre walnut and row crop farm in Woodland. Laurel also serves on the Board of Directors for Yolo Land Trust, a nonprofit organization that works to permanently conserve farmland in Yolo County.
