Julia Mariano

Senior Account Executive

Julia Mariano is an Account Executive at Summit Strategy Group with a focus on digital communications, media, and corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy. 

 

Julia also founded the Reform Revolution Project, a nonprofit that strives to implement accessible social justice education within public high schools across California. She has worked with several educators in the Bay Area and Sacramento region while mobilizing countless young people from all corners of the country to push for proper social justice education within their local areas. 

 

Julia joins the Summit team after a year with FleishmanHillard. She served as a DE&I Counselor and Project Manager on the corporate FleishmanHillard Race and Culture Team and worked on a variety ofclients within the food, beverage, and agribusiness space. Julia started her communications career at ALZA Strategies, where she was a grassroots advocate for the California End of Life Option Act. She became a leader in digital communications for various initiatives such as Sacramento's Measure A, California's Proposition 18, the Governor's Council on Post-Secondary Education, and the Latino Corporate Directors Association. Prior to her time with ALZA Strategies and FleishmanHillard, Julia served as a Legislative Assistant for Assemblymember Jim Cooper (D-09).  

 

Julia holds a degree in Political Science from Sacramento State University and obtained a Digital Marketing certification from UC Davis. Her professional philosophy is that all work should be rooted in seeking common ground.
