A longtime Vulcan Materials Co. employee has joined California-based Summit Strategy Group LLC as a senior adviser based in Birmingham.

David Donaldson has joined Summit after more than 40 years with Vulcan Materials Co. (NYSE:VMC), according to a release.

“I look forward to serving as a senior counselor to the firm’s clients and helping to grow Summit’s portfolio of business in the mining, energy and chemicals sectors and its presence in the South and Southeast,” Donaldson said.
